Currie's matchbox

Currie's matchbox is full of Hope (literally).

Here's the outside of the box:

Here's the box with it's accompanying note card.

Inside, in addition to the lovely trinkets, a puzzle so you can create your own hope.

All of the matchboxes have been liberated into the world.
Watch your mailboxes in a few days!

Joanne's matchbox

Joanne's matchbox hints of intrigue.
First there's the writing on all four sides of the box:

Inside, two tiny portraits:

Amongst the tiny baubles are magnet poetry, repeating the words "You will" and "I do"

Perhaps this will inspire you to fill in the details of this mysterious romance!

Cynthia's matchbox

Cynthia chose a large matchbox for her beautiful contribution:

What's inside?

A beautiful handmade pouch and a scroll (which I didn't unwind - the lucky owner will get a surprise.)

Inside the pouch are these fabulous baubles.

What a lovely package!

Kathy's matchbox

Kathy says this matchbox all started with some tiny feathers she found on her morning walk.

Here's the front of her bird-themed box:

and here's the back:

What treasures lie below this chickadee?

why look! It's those tiny feathers, plus more bird-related items!

Indigo's matchboxes

Here's an absolutely beautiful matchbox from Indigo.

This next one she made especially for me, and I have to show it off.
Thank you, Indigo!  It's lovely.

Trula's matchboxes

Trula sent two sweet matchboxes.

(I'm in love with that little metal tadpole.  Love, I tell you.)

These do indeed put a smile on my face.

Jean's matchboxes

Jean sent two beautiful matchboxes for the swap.

Here's matchbox #2

I've always loved tiny things.

Dori's matchbox

Let's all stop for a moment and enjoy Dori's matchbox, shall we?

I just love that little drawer pull

Here's the top:

Here's the bottom:

Looks like lots of tiny treasures...
(the penny is there for scale)

ooh!  look at all those little goodies.

and it all comes in a vellum envelope with a great handmade tag

Lovely!

Carroll's matchbox

Before we even get to Carroll's wonderful matchbox, I have to show you the envelope in which it arrived.  Isn't it gorgeous?
And the matchbox itself is sweetly tied with some cool yarn and a feather.

Here's the back of the envelope.  I will slap a new mailing label on it and send it forward with the matchbox to the new owner.

And then there's this:

Oh so lovely!

It is jam packed with treasures.
(and boy did it challenge my spatial skills trying to get it all back in there!)

These are so much fun!

Ellen's matchbox

Look, just look, at Ellen's gorgeous matchbox!
It's totally covered in fabric, inside and out.
She couldn't find a small one, so decided to go with a larger size.

Take a peek inside:

 It's like Christmas!
You can pack some pretty awesome things in a box like this.

I've received 10 matchboxes already and the swap is still open until Monday.  Stay tuned for more great work!

Christina's matchbox

I've received two matchboxes for the swap so far and each one is so incredibly cool that I've decided to post them separately to give them the full attention they deserve.
(and I will continue to do this with all the other boxes I receive)

Here's a beautiful box from Christina,
which arrived in the tiniest Whole Foods bag I've ever seen:

This is the top of the box:

Here's the bottom of the box:

Just look at those tiny treasures inside!

Pretty paper lines the inside of the box:

Gorgeous!
Doesn't this make you want to join the swap?

You've got until Monday April 29th to get it in the mail.
