INTERNATIONAL SWAPPERS -
At this time I am unable to receive payments through PayPal as I am locked out of my account.  Unfortunately I did not keep up-to-date on (postage) money from International participants that was waiting for me to receive.  Thus it appears I have lost quite a bit.  I will post another message if this issue gets resolved.  Honi

WORLD POSTCARD DAY - OCTOBER 1st, 2021

Collage by hhc
Hello Fellow MailArt Swappers,

I was just alerted to the fact that October 1st is World Postcard Day.  (Thanks Alex!)  An online search will bring up an interesting web page.

With letter writing on the decline, exchanging artful correspondence is a joy and receiving tangible communications brightens someone's day.  I'm so glad MailMeSomeArt is here.  And I'm very glad so many people have participated and shared their art with me and each other (and the world!!!).

Collage by hhc

I don't know if I made up this saying, or if some clever person beat me to it:

"POSTCARDS:  An artful way to appear thoughtful while writing as little as possible."

(If I stole someone else's punchline, I apologize.)

SO let's celebrate by creating and sending out some post cards, and make someone's day brighter  :)

KEEP ON MAKING ART
Honi

P.S.  Looking for an art penpal?  Or someone to send random art to?  Check out the Informal Exchange/Swap List :)

AUTUMN IMPRESSIONS 2021 - Post Card Swap - Postmark by October 18th

By hhc - fabric collage

HAPPY AUTUMN!

Summer is gone, where did it go?  Gone with the wind, to steal a phrase...

What comes to mind when you think of Autumn?  Brightly colored leaves?  Strong winds?  Cooler days?  Geese flying south?

by hhc - collage, threads, pressed leaves
Some of my impressions include trees decked with glowing red, orange or golden yellow adornment, glowing in the amber sunlight.   Piles of crispy leaves scattering to swirl and dance in the wind.  The restless cries of migrating birds heading for warmer climates.

By hhc - rubber stamps, jute, pressed leaf

....Occasional frosts that outline grasses with white, colorful pumpkins, squashes and gourds arranged for sale at roadside stands...

Cider, definitely apple cider!  Best served with cinnamon sugared doughnuts, of course.

By hhc - pressed leaf
Participants, make 1 - 4 post cards to be exchanged with your swap partners' art.  You may choose any colors, any medium, any technique to convey your impressions or memories of Autumn days.
