Green postcards part 5

This is what 87 postcards look like when they are spread across my dining room table, ready to be swapped:
I'll be mailing them out in batches so that those of you who made multiple cards can enjoy happy mailboxes for several days in a row.  The first batch went out yesterday.

Here are pictures of the final bunch of cards.
First up are four from Leslie:

Next are three from Lilia (more great "year of the snake" art!)

Lorinda sent these collages.
(a mere three out of the 365 collages she'll be making this year!)

Lucinda joins us for the first time and sent these four gorgeous paintings!
Welcome, Lucinda.  Glad you found us!

Mary sent the next two, and boy do I love those little frog eyes peeking up from the one below:

Last, but not least, two fabulous cards from Tina.
The penguin on the second card is made from felt.

Many thanks to the 31 fabulous artists who submitted the grand total of 87 cards, making this our most popular swap to date!

What color should we do next?

green postcards - part 4

Here's another fabulous batch of green cards for your viewing pleasure!

Frances sent two lovely/leafy watercolors.

Jean's collage cracks me up.  What is that green guy?
He's so cool.

Eric joins us for the first time. (I'm going out on a limb and assuming he's a man.)  He's from France.  That's two "firsts" here at MMSA.  Welcome Eric!

Karen's cards are unbelievably cool, though the best part is lost in the scanning process.  They are covered with a printed transparency that makes the black bits look like they are floating above the background.  (the ghost-like areas aren't really on the card, it's reflection from the scanner on the shiny transparency)

The ever talented and highly prolific Katie sent six great collages.

Laura  is another first time swapper.  Her beautiful card has a wonderful crackle texture

Laurie is also a new swapper and celebrates MMSA on all her lovely layered cards.

I've still got about 20 cards to post, but it will have to wait until tomorrow!

green postcards - part 3

Holy Guacamole, green is popular!
The card count is currently at 86.
There are still many to be scanned, but I figured I'd better post some more today to keep the blog posts a somewhat reasonable length.

I am always totally inspired by Carlene's stitching.

Ellen's got a great mix of collage and washi tape, and makes great use of some vintage stamps.

Gina's cards feature not only her awesome lino cuts, but ephemera from her recent travels

Corrine  also makes excellent use of washi tape, and do I detect gelli prints there too?

Janet, after many months of good intentions, is "Actually doing a postcard swap"
I'm so glad, Janet dear!

A great big welcome to Joyce, who is swapping for the first time.
I can't tell you how much joy it brings me to know people are taking their first leap into swapping with MMSA.

Tune in tomorrow for even more green!
