Dear Mail Art Friends,

This will likely be my last posting on the MMSA site, sad to say. I have greatly enjoyed being a part of your art journey and seeing the wonderful designs you created.  Wishing you all JOY, PEACE, LOVE and continued inspiration.  God bless you.  Hugs, Honi C.

My Long Overdue Message to Participants:

 Dear MMSA Friends,

Many have been wondering why there has been very little activity on our MMSA site.  I've been putting off making a difficult decision which will affect us all.

At this time I am dealing with multiple health issues that are stressing my concentration, creativity, energy and enthusiasm.

I have been putting off posting this message because I didn't want to disappoint people, and I didn't want to admit even to myself that I am no longer able to do now what I used to be able to do.  (I had a recent brain MRI and they didn't find anything.  You may laugh but I wish it was funny...)

It has become more of a challenge to concentrate my full attention on the group activities, especially processing the swap art and sending it out.  I  seem to have lost the ability to keep MMSA active and vibrant.

Some of the blogsite functions are not responding properly, I don't know if there is a way to resolve the problems.

If anyone feels strongly about volunteering to assume management of the blogsite and group activities, please contact Karen Isaacson, our blogsite founder.  (Go to Contact link/page and send her an email.)

I will do what I can to finish processing the art that has come in for the current active group swap  "TEXTURE" and do not plan to put together or post any more swap themes after that is wrapped up.

Please be patient while I finish cropping pictures of recently- received swap pieces.

I have enjoyed being a part of this wonderfully talented group of artists.  It was delightful to see your interpretations of the swap themes and to get to know those who participated.

I will carry happy memories of the friendships and art we shared, and wish all of you  the best going forward.  Keep on making art and may God bless you all as life goes on.

HUGS, Honi C.

Shelter in the Time of Storm

We are watching the news with much concern for the people in Florida. I am especially concerned for the safety of some former mail art participants:  Christie J. in Sarasota emailed me that she is "right in the line" of huricane path.  The news reports are very daunting.

Hoping most sincerely that they will find shelter and be safe.  I have distant relatives and three cousins in Florida- two drove north, another opted to stay put with the cat.

                                     Thoughts and prayers,

                                                Honi

P.S.

I appreciate the many messages of concern regarding my current health challenges, thanks for the encouragement.  This group is very supportive and caring :)
