TIME for Another Mail Art Post Card Swap - Postmark by July 18th - Corrected

by hhc

We haven't had "TIME" for a group swap in a while, so here's another one.  Participants may interpret the theme literally or in an abstract way. Some ideas might be clocks, watches, timers or related images.

Some may think of particular times in history or their own lives...  Then there's the TIMES TABLE.  A train, bus or flight schedule, etc.  Another interpretation might be the times we are living in.  Or times gone by.

Techniques/media may include paint, ink, rubber stamping, collage, etc.  Just remember that art that hangs over the edge of your post card(s) will require extra postage, as will notched corners, over-sized, thick or stiff cardboard.  The "flex test" is quite simple.

Sample format for back of post cards

  • You may send in as many as four Post Cards.  (You will get back the same number you send, each from a different artist.)  If you send extra I will try to accommodate you :)
  • Post Card size is no larger than 6 inches by (correction) 4+1/4 inches.
Mail your PCs to your host in an envelope, and your host will mail out the exchanged PCs after the swap is processed.
Enclose postage for each of your art pieces.  Also one self-address label for each card that you expect to receive in return.
  • If you're sending more than one PC, please insert waxed paper or parchment between the
  •  cards so they don't get stuck together in the
  •  envelope.
  • Please write your return address or email address on the back of each PC so your swap partner(s) can thank you.
