9 ATC's by hhc |
Hello Fellow Art Swappers,
It's been a little while since we've had an Artists' Trading Cards group swap, and I hope you all are eager to create and exchange some more of these delightful 3+1/2" x 2+1/2" pieces of art.
This is more of a process challenge, and will lend itself to various materials and techniques.

Some possibilities might be COLLAGE, MARBLEIZING, DENDRITIC PAINT, STENCILING, GELLI PLATE PRINTING, RUBBER STAMPING, OVER-PRINTING, etc. AND OF COURSE FABRIC.
When I made most the samples shown, I started by painting or collaging a full sheet of 8+1/2" x 11" white cardstock to create a background for up to nine (9) Artists' Trading Cards.

Then I cut the sheet into 9 equal-sized ATC's. Finally I finished with metallic paint, rubberstamping, more collage, etc. to make them all different.

If I remember correctly, you will end up with a leftover extra strip measuring 1/2 inch from one side of the full sheet and 1 inch leftover from the other.

Your ATC's may be oriented horizontally or vertically, your choice.

Participants, you don't have to make up nine ATC's, and you don't have to enter that many in this swap. But I hope you will try this technique on a full- or partial sheet and share at least 4 ATC's with us. (Extras are handy for one-on-one exchanges :)
