Decorated Numbers - Post Card Swap - Postmark by June 28th - UPDATED

Example by LaDonna

Sometimes in life you find a favorite number.  It might be your age, your birthdate, your shoe size, the number of times you can jump double-jump-rope without tripping.  The amount of pounds you have lost (and found?) throughout your life.

Yes, I really did hike 1,000 miles with a 35- 45 pound backpack - Example by hhc

Your phone number from the 1960's.  (Yes, I still remember mine!!!)

While going through the Ophalmic Dispensing program toward my degree I learned that 20/10 vision is sharper than 20/20-

The most M&M's you can eat without getting sick. I don't recommend that one.
The year you graduated from school.  The number that won you a million dollars.  (Can we be friends???  I'm just kidding...)

For this swap we will decorate/embellish numbers.  You can repeat repeat a number.  Use small, medium, large, huge numbers.  You can use more than one number at a time.  Interlock your numbers.

(A web search for "Numbers Art" will give you LOTS of ideas if you get stuck.)

Consider doodling or using a zentangle design on your number(s).  Or use different fonts or type styles. Cover them  with flowers, stripes, dots.  Accent them with gold or silver.  Rubber stamp your number(s).

Cut out magazine images.  Collage your numbers.  Draw and illustrate your numbers.  Cut them out of various decorative papers.  Use stencils.  Add some stickers.  Etc.

Participants, make 1 - 4 post cards to be exchanged with other participants.  PLEASE write a note on the side you address to let your recipient know why you chose the number(s) you picked/why they are special to you.

NOTE:  If you decide to use your birth date, you most certainly may scramble/rearrange the numbers, since it's not always necessary to tell your age!!!  smiles
