ARTISTS' TRADING (ROUND) COINS - Postmark by June 1st

Collaged ATC's by hhc

Here's another deviation from post card art.  Artists' Trading Coins are 2+1/2" in diameter and can be decorated on two sides.  (Or not)

Participants, make 1 - 4 Artist Trading Coins, any technique or subject, to be exchanged with your designated swap partners.

NOTE:  Some people use thin cardboard instead of cardstock as a sturdy base for collage .  Please include a little extra postage with your enclosed return business- or greeting card- envelope in case I might send you some heavier/thicker/stiffer collaged art in the exchange.
(Cereal box cardboard + collage = thick art...)

* Hint #1: If you wrap your finished coins individually in waxed paper or cellophane sleeves and connect them side-by-side with Washi tape or Scotch tape so they won't shift/bunch up in the mail, your mailing will be thinner = requiring less postage for you.

When I prepare your art to send out, I put each of  your exchanged coins in a plastic sleeve and then tape them side-by-side with Washi tape to keep them flat.  The longer business envelope works better than a greeting card envelope.  But either is fine.

* HINT #2:  If you want to streamline your art backgrounds, decorate a full sheet of paper or cardstock and then cut into individual circles, finishing each one differently.  Same background colors/patterns, different details.  (See below example)

You can also use dots or stripes to finish off the edges, or scuff edges with black inkpad or use black, white, gold marker, etc.
