Joanne McCabe is hosting her first swap with us.
In her own words:
"How often do we buy new art
supplies that we swear we'll use, or a book on some new technique that
we tell ourselves we'll have mastered by the end of the week? And then
the supplies sit in their plastic wrappers and the books gather dust?
I
bet we all have such unrealized dreams, but here's a swap to stretch
you. The technique is wide open (so long as it's art, and mailable), as
is how you interpret "technique." Here's an excuse to to try something
you've wanted to do, but haven't done yet. Whether it's sewing fabric
postcards, picking up a paintbrush, or trying something new with your
gelli plate, choose something that will cause you to grow."
Be sure on
the back to write a note as to what the technique was, and how you found
the experience.
Create up to four postcards - all four can be the same "new technique" or if you're feeling really inspired, you can try four different new techniques!
Adhere proper postage, and stick them in an envelope with return address labels.
Mail them by November 30th to:
