2016 Informal Exchange

Interested in a less formal way to send and receive art in the mail?   Here are the names and addresses of others who enjoy swapping hand made postcards or other types of mail art.  Add your name and address at the bottom of the page, and feel free to introduce yourself!  If you don't feel comfortable posting your mailing address, you might start with a contact email address.  You can send mail to anyone on the list, being sure to include your return address. You are extremely likely to get great mail in return.

I'd like to use this page for names and addresses only.  To leave a comment for another artist, click on the "RECEIVED" tab at the top of this page, scroll down to the bottom, and leave your comments on that page instead.  It makes this list a lot easier to read when there are no additional comments.  We usually refresh the "INFORMAL EXCHANGE" page at the beginning of each new year.

If you're having trouble adding your info, or you need your comment edited or deleted,  just send me an email and I'll be happy to help you.  s.h.greenstamps@juno.com

Note:  PLEASE put your return mailing address on every piece of mail you send out, in case there is a delivery problem.  This makes it easier for the happy recipients to respond.  Also including your email address allows them to more quickly thank you for your work!

2U all

Hope this letter finds you in good health and spirit.

It looks like I’ll be sending you, by US postage, a couple of my abstract painted envelopes with accompanying letters. Two of the copied envelopes and letters are form another MMSA member. She is a real artist as her envelopes will show. I attached collector postage stamps to the accompanying letters and envelopes for an artistic/investment type feeling.

I first started doing the envelope art with collector postage stamps around 1989. I’m 70 years old and a Vietnam Veteran against wars, so sometimes I have inserted an antiwar message in the artistic envelope but not to MMSA members. MMSA is all for fun.

Sincerely,

Hello everyone! I just recently found out about Mail Me Some Art and would love to send and receive art informally. As I am sending from overseas for most of you, from Vienna, Austria, to be exact, I prefer sending cards copied from manually made collages which I feel is the safer option. As a professional translator and recycling aficionado, I love to use text in my collages that I collect from various magazines and re-assemble to something completely new. I am also happy to include little bits and pieces for you to-reuse. Looking forward to being part of this awesome group!
