One of the first paper art formats that totally charmed me 
years ago when I joined in on the MMSA fun was

ARTIST'S TRADING CARDS.

With their small size, 3+1/2"  x  2+1/2,"

there is only so much you can put on an ATC.  Yet the simplicity of the design

is part of the attraction.
And they are SO collectable :)

Backgrounds for nine ATCs may be prepped out of one 11" x 8+1/2" sheet of card stock.  Then cut into individual cards which can be finished in various ways.

For this group swap, participants are invited to create 4 ATCs to be exchanged with swap partners after the art is processed.  Any subject/theme/media. 

Your choice of media and/or techniques, i.e. paints, inks, rubber stamps, collage, sketch, etc.
