Spreading Cheer Through Mail Art Challenge
On December 28, 2013 (Older Posts), our former blog site administrator posted a suggestion on how to cheer up people who don't expect it. I thought the idea deserved a "re-run."
The challenge is to think of those who experience cold, dark January days, and then to brighten their outlook with an unexpected bit of mail art. J.M. wrote before that, "...
the idea would be to send something to someone that you have never sent mail art to, and perhaps who has no idea what mail art really is."
You could choose
unsuspecting relatives, shut-in's, professionals you do business with throughout the year, etc. (Your mail carrier might like to receive some of your art, too!)
Willing participants, how about making up a few cheery post cards (or a lot!), then send your artful greetings out into the world. Totally voluntary. Aim for January, but keep it going if you want to.
